Some questions asked and answered by officials running the competition on the Forums.
When will the timer be started?: Once you hit 'Run' on your robot.
Can we use non-Lego pieces or pieces that are not part of the Lego Mindstorms kit?: No, you can only use what comes in the standard kit (ie., no extra motors)
But can we use extra elastic's to hold together wires?: Only if they don't have any effect on the robot.
Does the robot have to be automated?: Yes, it has to be completely autonomous. Meaning - once you hit run, it will do everything else on its own.
Are we allowed to start the program with a push sensor and not the run button?: No, you have to use the run button.
For project 2, are we using anything special?: No, just what was provided in the kit.
What is the surface that the measuring cup will be located on?: It will be a flat and smooth plywood plane
If the parachuter misses on landing, how will the ref handle this?: The ref will just drop the parachuter in the cup, as opposed to pushing it in.
Are there any obstacles?: No.
