About

Well, the main page pretty much sums it all up. NeufKar Robotics is a class team in the SNC 21 high school course, we consist of 2 members, and there are about 10-15 teams in the class. We use something like the Lego® MindStorms kit to design and build our robot. At school, we use a really simple program called Robolab to program our robots, then send it to the robot via IR. Then we use Lego® pieces to build the actual robot.

I feel that I should also mention the camera I use to take all the pictures with. It's a Mercury CyberPix S-213D 3 Mega Pixel digital camera. It has lots of features, like:

Of course, there are a few draw backs. One of the biggest, is it is slow. If you take a picture, you have to wait a few seconds for it to take a picture. Another is that it uses batteries really quickly, so it's best to have a bunch of re chargeable batteries handy. The digital zoom also isn't the greatest and the flash takes forever to charge (and drains batteries like mad), as well as usually having too bright of a flash.

The built-in memory card is nice, but I like to take lots of movies and lots of pictures. So, I went and got a memory card for my camera. It's a Lexar Media® 256 mb SD card (the camera can hold up to 512 mb size card). I can take lots of pictures and movies this way. This cost me about $60 I think (somewhere near there) at Wal-Mart.
